'Farozaan' charcoal Varanasi silk brocade sari features floral motifs inspired by paintings on Papier-mâché objects through the form of ‘Naqashi’. The process involves the painting of a surface though multi colored hues and gold accents, which results in a 4-5 dimensional effect. We have adapted this technique in our brocade silk textile through the use of contrast colour embroidery, which outlines flowers to bring out their characteristic details.
Blouse worn by the model is not included.
Natural variations in colours and weave are part of the textile, as it is handwoven.
